organisations through which ordinary citizen can play a role in democracy. In
this chapter, we look at the indirect ways of influencing politics, through
pressure groups and movements.
Chapter 6: Political Parties: Discusses how political parties act as
vehicles of federal sharing of political power and as negotiators of social
divisions in the arena of democratic politics.
