The common element of all successful candidates is the
ability to persevere. Perseverance is defined as continued efforts to achieve
something despite difficulties, failure or opposition. It is also known as
grit, determination, dedication, commitment or endurance.
Every year lakhs of students start preparing for civil services. Many appear for the exam, but less than only point five percent clear the final interviews. Many people leave their preparation in between. So if you are someone who loses interest in Long-Term Projects or Change Course Midway, you may lack perseverance.
This article will teach you how you can develop the power of perseverance without which you will not be able to implement any strategy for clearing the exams.
So firstly give answer …what are the ways to motivate yourself…
When you listen to a successful story, or when you read the story of a successful person, you feel motivated. In fact, motivation leads to positive mindset and you strive to achieve your goal. But what happens with time?
The positive state of mind, get replaced by more powerful negative ones because of worry, stress, crisis, risk and all such negative elements in our life. And these elements let you believe that you are a loser and this is the source of demotivation. But true motivation will come when you know what you want in life.
When you know what you want in life, you become passionate
for your dreams and your goals. So it is very important to understand the
purpose and bigger picture of why you want to achieve something.
Once that is clear, you will have the passion to persevere and come out successful, despite failures, because the goal is clear in your mind and it is your own goal and not someone else's.
So what we suggest is that you should not stop dreaming because every day you have a choice to go after your dreams or leave it. Although it would not be easy, but it will be worth it.
The only thing you can really change is yourself. In fact, it comes from a spirit that refuses to accept the option of quitting. It's the key to winning the race, more important than skill, which leads to success in any sphere of life, not just the IAS.
Success is constantly knocking on your doors. Do not stop till the door opens up for you.
Everyone and everything surrounding you, your family, your friends will
try to create a negative impact by telling you to stop, stop from being idiot.
And most of us will stop there.
But only one person who is actually crazy enough to not listen to their
negative voices surrounding him or her will make it. Be that one person.
And that is the power of perseverance. Even after failures, when you make sure that you get up next time, you're better than the last time. Then only you can achieve success in life.
In fact, Amy Cuddy, who is the creator of "Power Pose" believes that you can trick your brain to enhance your performance. So you must have observed that when you're happy, you shout out loud with excitement. So if you shout out loud with excitement, you can trick your brain into believing that you are happy and it enhances your performance.
So you should say that when I get knocked down, I will get
up back. And I may not be the smartest person in the room, but I will strive to
be the grittiest. So we should always fight for our dreams. Against all odds
and perseverance is the key to it.
Believe in yourself and your abilities…stick to your goal
and give your best…success will be at your door.
